Creative Industries Weekly AI News

November 3 - November 11, 2025

This weekly update showcases how agentic AI is reshaping the creative industries worldwide. Agentic AI refers to intelligent computer programs that can understand what people want and take action to help with creative tasks. These AI agents are now helping with everything from designing color palettes to writing ads and even replacing actors in films.

In the United States, major companies are using AI agents to create advertisements faster than ever before. Google recently released its first fully AI-generated ad featuring a plush turkey character, showing how agentic AI can bring creative ideas to life. The Coca-Cola Company used AI agents to generate their holiday ads, completing work in about one month instead of a full year. Coca-Cola's AI agents created over 70,000 different video clips with help from about 100 contributors including five AI specialists. These companies are proving that agentic AI can speed up creative work while still producing quality content.

Retail is also being transformed by agentic AI technology. Shopify reported that agentic AI is driving major growth in online shopping. The platform saw 11 times more orders coming from AI-powered searches since the beginning of the year. These agentic AI systems help customers search for products, compare options, and complete purchases through AI assistants.

Pantone, the famous color authority, partnered with Microsoft to create an innovative AI agent for designers called the Palette Generator. This AI agent allows designers to create custom color palettes in just seconds by having a conversation with the tool. The Palette Generator searches through thousands of colors combined with trend forecasting information to suggest perfect combinations.

In China, creative companies are increasingly using AI agents to replace actors and screenwriters in short films called microdramas. Over 50 million people watched the "Strange Mirror" series created with AI help. A crew member noted that AI software has already replaced most artists who create early concept images. However, this rapid adoption is raising concerns about job losses in creative industries.

Apple is upgrading Siri with more advanced agentic AI capabilities, using Google's Gemini model to power cloud-based reasoning. Snap announced a major $400 million partnership with Perplexity to bring AI search into Snapchat. These developments show that agentic AI is becoming central to creative work across advertising, design, fashion, and entertainment, while also raising important questions about jobs and the future of human creativity.
