Manufacturing Weekly AI News

November 17 - November 25, 2025

This week, big companies announced exciting plans to use artificial intelligence to make better products. These companies are investing billions of dollars to bring AI-powered manufacturing to the United States.

Foxconn, a huge electronics manufacturer, made two big deals. First, they partnered with Intrinsic, an AI robotics company, to create the "factory of the future". This partnership will use smart robots powered by AI to build electronics like computer servers and data center equipment. These robots can learn and adapt to different tasks, which makes them much better than old robots that can only do one job.

Second, Foxconn also partnered with OpenAI to design and make the next generation of AI hardware in the United States. This means they will create the machines and equipment that power artificial intelligence systems. OpenAI will help decide what hardware is needed, and Foxconn will manufacture it using their factories in America.

Nokia, a telecommunications company, announced a huge investment too. They are spending $4 billion in the United States to improve their factories and research centers. This money will help create AI-ready networks - basically, the systems that connect everything together will be smarter and use artificial intelligence.

In the state of Louisiana, First Solar opened a brand new factory. This $1.1 billion facility makes solar panels using AI technology. The AI system watches the solar panels as they are being made and catches any problems automatically. This new factory is creating over 800 new jobs for workers in Louisiana.
