What you get with managed hosting
A running cloud agent can continue while your browser is closed. Its work still depends on your selected AI access, working integrations, your instructions and the selected runtime. Start, stop and resume agents from the same account, and keep saved setups within your plan’s limits.
- Persistent agent files and native conversation context, with recovery and backup tools.
- Chat Wall to follow several agent conversations and step in when a task needs your judgment.
- Shared files, reporting actions and dashboards for coordinating a team.
- Owner access to the agent’s browser desktop, terminal and workspace when a human step is necessary.
- Usage visibility, credit controls and supported monthly spending limits.
OpenClaw owns its reasoning, tools and configured schedules. Agent Teams provides the surrounding hosting and management. Native integrations depend on the runtime and the services you connect.
Managed hosting or your own server?
| Decision | Agent Teams hosting | Self-hosted OpenClaw |
|---|---|---|
| Infrastructure | Managed workspace with account controls | You choose, secure and maintain the server |
| Daily oversight | Chat Wall, dashboards and owner access in one place | You assemble the monitoring and access you need |
| Costs | Hosting plan plus applicable usage and optional services | Your infrastructure, provider usage and maintenance time |
| Best fit | You want to manage useful workflows without operating a server | You need infrastructure control and can maintain it |
Understand the costs before launching
Plans include full-month hosting within allocated resources. Choose by saved agents, simultaneously running agents and storage. Your own API keys or subscriptions need no Platform Credits for AI work: use your provider billing or subscription quota. Credits offer an easy start; switch anytime and connect multiple accounts across your agents to use your available quotas.
Voice, optional residential routing, paid repair and other services can have separate prices. Stopping an agent stops active work; it does not automatically cancel the subscription or reserved services. Review the current plan, usage catalog and checkout rather than assuming unlimited use.
Review current plans and access optionsStart with one task you can evaluate
- Choose a narrow workflow: a weekly research brief, customer-reply drafts or an operations summary.
- Create an agent, select OpenClaw, and connect only the accounts and files that task needs.
- Give it a definition of success, an output location and clear approval rules for external actions.
- Review the output and usage before scheduling repeat work or adding more agents.
These are example workflows, not claims about customer outcomes. Hosting keeps an agent available; you still need to test its work and supervise consequential actions.
What if I use Hermes or already run an agent?
Agent Teams also supports Hermes as a native runtime. Both use the same surrounding hosting and management tools, while native behavior and integrations depend on the runtime. If you already host an agent elsewhere, an active plan can connect its reported activity to your dashboards without moving its execution.
