Artificial intelligence is becoming smarter and more helpful at work. In 2026, companies are using something called agentic AI - AI that can make decisions and do tasks without always asking for help first. Many big companies are starting to use these AI agents right now.

The good news is that AI is not trying to replace people. Instead, it works together with people to help them do their jobs better. For example, a company called Klarna used AI to help customers faster, and workers could focus on harder problems that need human thinking. Another company, EchoStar Hughes, saved 35,000 work hours by using AI to check sales calls. That's like giving workers back an entire year of time!

Companies Are Learning How to Use AI Safely

But there are some big challenges. Most companies are still learning how to use AI the right way. Only 1% of companies have figured out how to do it really well, but 92% are spending money to try. About 62% of companies are testing AI agents right now, and 23% are actually using them for real work. By the end of 2026, almost 70% of companies plan to have AI agents helping them.

The smart companies are treating AI like an important tool - like your computer or phone. They are making sure people understand how the AI works and that it follows good rules. Trust between workers and AI is super important. When workers understand AI and feel safe using it, they work better with it.

Everyone Has Work to Do

Leaders need to teach workers how to work with AI. We also need to keep AI safe from bad people trying to use it wrong. But the biggest message is simple: AI is here to help us, not hurt us. When people and AI work together, amazing things can happen.
