Coding Weekly AI News

February 23 - March 3, 2026

This weekly update brings exciting changes to coding with AI agents taking center stage. OpenAI released GPT-5.3-Codex on February 5, a tool that helps write code automatically. Anthropic created Claude Code, an AI assistant that acts like a senior developer. Meanwhile, Amazon Web Services (AWS) from the United States added more agentic AI capabilities to their Kiro Developer Tool on February 24 to improve code quality. The biggest shift happening is that coders are no longer working alone with AI—they now use multiple AI agents working together on different parts of code at the same time. Instead of just writing code faster, developers are learning that discipline and planning matter more than speed. A senior engineer used to write the hardest parts of code themselves. Now, they orchestrate teams of AI agents, deciding which agents handle which tasks, comparing their work, and making sure everything is correct. The message is clear: AI coding tools changed what matters—it's no longer about typing faster, but about working smarter with AI helpers.
