Coding Weekly AI News
October 13 - October 21, 2025This week brought major news about AI agents that can write and fix computer code all by themselves. These smart helpers are changing how people build software.
On October 13, Salesforce announced a new tool called Agentforce 360. This is a big step forward in using AI to help with work tasks. Around the same time, companies like Microsoft, GitHub, and Docker showed off new AI agents that can do much more than before.
The biggest change is that AI tools are now acting like team members instead of just helpers. These new AI agents can plan work, check code for problems, and even put finished programs online without people doing everything. Microsoft introduced something called Agentic DevOps where AI agents can fix bugs and review code on their own.
GitHub also upgraded its Copilot tool to work as an agent that creates pull requests and edits multiple files at once. Docker released new tools called Compose Agents that let AI helpers work together using a special language. Even GitLab joined in with its Duo Agent Platform that can rewrite code and create tests automatically.
Experts say this is happening much faster than anyone expected. What people thought would take five to seven years is now happening in just one to two years. Companies that start using these AI agents now will have a big advantage over companies that wait.
