Marketing Weekly AI News

November 3 - November 11, 2025

This week in AI marketing brought exciting news about agentic AI — which means artificial intelligence agents that can complete tasks on their own. Companies discovered that these agents are helping customers find and buy products in new ways.

Shopify reported that AI agents are driving huge growth in their business. When AI assistants like ChatGPT help customers shop, those customers are buying 11 times more products. Since the start of 2025, AI-driven shopping traffic grew 7 times bigger. This shows that AI agents that can think and make decisions are becoming very important for selling things online.

Google also unveiled how AI Mode works to recommend businesses and products. Instead of just giving one search result, Google's AI agent breaks down what you're looking for into dozens of related questions. It then searches through millions of places and billions of products to give you the best answer.

In another major move, Snap partnered with Perplexity in a $400 million deal. Perplexity is an AI search company, and now Snapchat users will be able to search using AI right inside the app. Apple also announced that Siri will get a powerful new AI brain, using Google's Gemini technology.

Meanwhile, Cisco built AI boxes that work in stores and factories. These machines use AI to make instant decisions without waiting for cloud computers, helping businesses give customers faster service. Even big companies like Google and Coca-Cola started making ads with AI, though some people noticed the ads didn't always look perfect.

Across marketing departments worldwide, 42% of companies are now regularly using AI. This number jumps to 55% in tech companies. The bottom line is clear: agentic AI is changing how people shop and how businesses market to them.
