Arizona State University, or ASU, recently made an exciting announcement about working with Grammarly to bring new agentic AI technology to their campus. Think of agentic AI as robot helpers that can make decisions and complete tasks without being told exactly what to do every single time. ASU became the first university to use Grammarly's new platform called Superhuman Go. This platform helps solve problems like when information is spread out in different places and students don't know where to find answers. The AI system can help students, teachers, and staff find information, organize it, and use it to do their work better. ASU plans to create special AI helpers just for their school. Some of these helpers will help teachers plan their classes and lessons. Others will help students when they are reading, writing, or talking with friends on their computers and phones anywhere they are.
Creating New Ways to Write with AI Help
Something really cool is happening at ASU with how students write assignments. Teachers and Grammarly are working together to create a new AI-native assignment workspace. This is basically a special place where students can do all their writing work with an AI helper by their side. Students can brainstorm ideas, research information, write their assignments, and fix their mistakes—all with AI guidance. The purpose of this new way of learning is to show other schools and technology companies how to use AI in a way that helps students learn real skills and think critically. Nancy Gonzales, who is a top leader at ASU, explained that ASU wants to make sure AI improves learning and makes teaching better for teachers.
University of Florida Teaches Business Students About Smart AI
At the University of Florida, business students just finished taking a special new class called Strategic Consulting and AI-Driven Practices. This class taught MBA students—students studying to become business leaders—how to use agentic AI to solve real problems for real companies. The students worked with a technology company called Silicon Labs, which makes computer chips and wireless products. Throughout the school year, students studied what Silicon Labs needed and designed AI systems to help them. Then the students traveled to the company's headquarters in Texas and showed off their AI projects. The company was very happy with what the students created. The students showed deep research and thinking about how AI could make the company work better. This class is important because it shows that future business leaders need to understand how to use AI the right way.
Industry Leaders Create Foundation for Open AI
On December 9, 2025, big technology companies announced something important: they created the Agentic AI Foundation to help guide how agentic AI systems develop. Companies like Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and many others came together to make sure these AI systems stay open, fair, and work for everyone. The foundation includes three special projects that help developers build AI agents. One project called AGENTS.md is now being used by more than 60,000 open-source projects around the world. Think of open source like recipes that anyone can use and improve. Another project called Model Context Protocol helps AI systems talk to other tools and programs, kind of like teaching AI to use different computer applications. This foundation is important because it makes sure that agentic AI doesn't stay locked up in just a few companies—instead, it becomes available for students, teachers, and developers everywhere.
Stanford Engineers Show New AI for Science
Stanford University, located in California, announced a new agentic AI platform designed to help scientists and engineers design advanced optical technology. This shows that agentic AI is being used not just in business and schools, but also in science and engineering. The Stanford team created tools that help AI systems think about their own thinking and fix mistakes. This kind of AI is like having a smart assistant in your lab who can think through complicated problems and suggest new ideas. These AI helpers can work in real-time on difficult tasks, helping scientists discover new things faster.
What This Means for Learning and the Future
All of these developments show that agentic AI is quickly becoming part of education.
