Business Automation Weekly AI News

February 23 - March 3, 2026

Artificial intelligence is changing how businesses work. This week, big tech companies announced new AI agents that help with everyday tasks. These smart programs can work on their own, doing jobs that people usually do.

Meta, owned by Facebook, added AI agents directly into its advertising tool. This means businesses can now let AI handle research and reports automatically. Anthropic, another AI company, created special plugins that let AI work inside programs like Excel and Gmail.

Microsoft and Perplexity both showed new AI systems that can run in the background. Think of them like digital workers that handle tasks while you sleep. Google and Samsung announced that their phones will get AI agents that can order food or book services just by talking to them.

Supply chains are getting smarter too. Companies across the United States are using AI to manage warehouses and predict what customers want. Robots are picking items, and computer systems are tracking shipments in real time.

However, not all companies are ready. According to Deloitte, only 11% of organizations are actually using AI agents in their real business work, while 35% have no plan at all. The shift from talking to AI chatbots to using AI agents that work independently is just beginning. Businesses that move quickly will have an advantage over those that wait.
