Accessibility & Inclusion Weekly AI News

September 15 - September 23, 2025

This weekly update brings exciting news about AI agents helping make the internet more accessible for everyone.

Two major companies, Siteimprove and Optimizely, joined forces this week to create smart AI helpers that automatically fix website problems for people with disabilities. These AI agents work together like a team to spot issues and fix them without humans having to do all the work.

Siteimprove also announced new mobile app accessibility agents on September 16th. These smart helpers can find problems in phone apps that make them hard to use for people with disabilities. The AI agents catch these issues early, before the apps are released to everyone.

This matters because there are important new laws in Europe that started in June 2025. These laws say companies must make their websites and apps work for people with disabilities, or they could face penalties. The rules help protect the rights of disabled people who control $13 trillion in spending power worldwide.

The AI agents use something called "agentic AI" technology. This means they can think through problems step by step and take action on their own. Instead of just telling humans what's wrong, these AI helpers actually go ahead and fix accessibility problems automatically.

Experts say this technology will help make the digital world more fair and inclusive for everyone. When websites and apps work better for people with disabilities, it creates a better experience for all users.
