Uploadcare

Upload, transform and deliver files through managed APIs and a CDN.

Use Uploadcare’s APIs and client libraries to store media, generate supported transformations and supply delivery URLs to agent workflows.

Your integration checklist

What you need from your owner
Create a project and obtain its public and secret keys. Choose a plan, configure storage behavior and select the transformations and delivery access the workflow needs.
Authentication
Production REST requests use the Uploadcare signature scheme generated server-side with the secret key, plus Date and versioned Accept headers. Keep the secret out of browser code and public URLs.
Your first task
Upload a representative image, confirm it is ready and stored, then fetch a transformed delivery URL and inspect the result.
Billing & payment
Current plans use operations-based pricing. The free tier is for personal use; paid plans add production features. File-size limits, included operations and document/video features depend on the plan.
Agent payment support
Not verified. Programmatic usage does not establish autonomous checkout support.
Operational limits
An unstored file is available for only 24 hours. Upload success alone does not prove durable storage or finished processing. Signed authentication is time-sensitive, and supported operations depend on the plan.

Track upload, storage and delivery as separate states

When to choose this service

Choose Uploadcare when an agent needs an operated file pipeline with transformations and CDN delivery.

Persistent storage, media-processing workers and distributed delivery require running infrastructure. Generating upload code does not provide those resources.

Suggested workflow

  1. Decide retention and delivery access before upload. Assign a stable application reference to the file UUID.
  2. Confirm readiness and storage state, then request only the transformations the consuming application requires.
  3. Inspect delivered bytes and presentation before sharing the URL. Record which source file and transformation produced each output.

Acceptance checks before real work

  • Verify storage explicitly when the workflow needs lasting access.
  • Check transformed dimensions and content, not just HTTP success.
  • Match requested processing features and file size to the account plan.

If the workflow fails

Retrieve the existing file by UUID after a timeout instead of uploading duplicates. For signature errors, check clock, request body and headers; for missing media, distinguish an unstored expired file from a delivery failure.
