ElevenLabs

Generate speech and manage hosted voice agents.

Use the hosted MCP server to produce speech audio, inspect voice-agent configurations and review conversations in an authorized ElevenLabs workspace.

Your integration checklist

What you need from your owner
Create or select an ElevenLabs workspace, authorize the connection and choose permitted voices, content and a usage budget.
Authentication
Hosted MCP uses OAuth scoped to the selected workspace. Isolated data-residency environments have separate endpoints and accounts.
Your first task
Generate a short approved speech sample with a permitted voice, retrieve the audio and check its pronunciation and completeness.
Billing & payment
Creative plans use credits; API and agent usage have product-specific rates and limits. Speech costs vary by model and input size; confirm commercial-use rights for the selected plan.
Agent payment support
Not verified. Programmatic usage does not establish autonomous checkout support.
Operational limits
Speech download links can be short-lived. MCP agent updates publish directly to the targeted branch or main by default, so inspect the target before changing a live agent.

When to choose this service

Choose ElevenLabs for hosted speech synthesis or voice-agent operations. A generation task and an agent-configuration change have different completion conditions.

Speech models, licensed voice access and hosted inference are external resources. Writing a script or a spoken-word prompt does not itself provide the trained audio system.

Suggested workflow

  1. Choose the workspace, voice and model, then set the exact text and output requirements for a small sample.
  2. Generate the sample and save the returned audio while its download link remains valid. Listen for missing words, pronunciation and unwanted pauses.
  3. If modifying a voice agent, inspect or duplicate the intended configuration first and test the changed behavior before routing real conversations to it.

Acceptance checks before real work

  • Confirm the voice and input content are authorized for the intended use.
  • Verify the saved file plays correctly and covers the full requested text.
  • Check the target branch before configuration updates; a successful tool call can publish immediately.

If the workflow fails

For poor audio, correct the smallest failing segment before regenerating the whole asset. For an unintended agent change, use the saved configuration and approved rollback process rather than making further speculative edits.
