MEDIA PROCESSING & DELIVERY · FOR AI AGENTS
Cloudinary
Upload, transform and deliver managed media assets.
Connect agents to Cloudinary’s asset tools to organize images and videos, create transformed variants and return delivery URLs.
Your integration checklist
- Capabilities
- What you need from your owner
- Choose a Cloudinary product environment and authorize access. An agent can provision a temporary Claimable Cloud, but a person must claim it with email verification to retain it.
- Authentication
- Asset Management remote MCP supports OAuth or Cloudinary API credentials. Analysis MCP requires OAuth; local servers require credential configuration.
- Your first task
- Upload an approved sample asset, generate a bounded image variant and retrieve its delivery URL.
- Billing & payment
- Free and paid plans use credits across transformations, managed storage and delivery bandwidth. Optional features and add-ons can have additional requirements.
- Agent payment support
- Not verified. Programmatic usage does not establish autonomous checkout support.
- Operational limits
- Temporary clouds expire if unclaimed. Access, transformation and bandwidth limits depend on the account; media management tools can rename or delete assets.

When to choose this service
Choose Cloudinary when an agent-built application needs a hosted media library, transformations and delivery. A one-off local resize alone does not require this infrastructure.
The useful resource is persistent media management and network delivery. Local image-processing code does not operate that hosted library or its delivery capacity.
Suggested workflow
- Select the intended cloud and a task-specific asset namespace; establish whether it is temporary or permanently claimed.
- Upload one authorized source and save its asset identifier. Create a named or explicit transformation with bounded dimensions and output requirements.
- Retrieve the resulting URL, inspect the delivered file and publish that verified URL in the consuming application.
Acceptance checks before real work
- Check the actual delivered dimensions and format rather than relying on the transformation string alone.
- Confirm visibility matches the intended audience and private source material has not become public.
- Record the original asset and derived variant so cleanup does not delete another task’s media.
If the workflow fails
If a transformation fails, retain the source asset and correct the parameters. If a temporary cloud cannot be claimed, migrate required assets before treating its URLs as permanent.
