Workforce Impact (from employee side) Weekly AI News
October 13 - October 21, 2025This weekly update brings important news about how AI agents are changing work for employees around the world.
A major report from the Adecco Group shows that workers are getting more comfortable with AI than ever before. The study looked at 37,500 workers in 31 countries. It found that 71% of workers now say nothing stops them from using AI. This is a huge jump from just 19% last year.
Workers see AI agents as one of the top three biggest changes affecting their jobs right now. More than half of workers (55%) think their company will add AI agents to their daily work in the next year. This shows that AI helpers are becoming normal parts of many jobs.
The report found some interesting differences in what workers think versus what really happens. Workers believe they save about two hours each day by using AI. However, companies are not seeing these time savings turn into better results yet. About one-third of workers end up using their saved time on boring tasks anyway.
There is good news too. About 37% of workers are now "future-ready". This means they are learning new skills and getting comfortable with new technology. Last year, only 11% of workers were future-ready. Workers who understand how AI affects their job and how their work helps the company are much more likely to stay at their jobs.
Some workers still have worries. While 76% think AI will create new jobs, 23% are scared they might lose their jobs because of AI. Workers want companies to be clear about how jobs will change and what new skills they will need.
Frontline workers (people who work in warehouses, stores, and factories) are also seeing big changes from AI agents. These workers make up 80% of all workers worldwide. AI is helping them with scheduling, training, and getting feedback on their work.
