Startups Weekly AI News

November 3 - November 11, 2025

This weekly update covers an exciting time for AI agents — smart computer programs that can make decisions and do work all by themselves. Companies around the world are getting huge amounts of money to build these AI agents, which shows that investors believe this technology is the future.

One of the biggest news stories is General Intuition, a brand new startup that just raised $133.7 million in funding. This is a huge amount of money for a brand new company, but the investors think these AI agents are so important that they're willing to bet big money on them. General Intuition is building AI agents that can understand space and time, and they want to use them for things like rescue robots and self-driving cars.

Another big story is Giga, a company from the United States that builds AI agents for customer support. Giga just raised $61 million to help them grow. These AI agents can answer questions and solve problems that customers have, without needing a person to help. Giga says it's already working with companies like DoorDash, which is a big food delivery company.

The good news doesn't stop there. Many other startups also got funding this week for agentic AI — which is the fancy name for AI agents. There was Phaidra with $50 million for AI agents that help computer data centers run better, Hyro with $45 million for AI agents in hospitals, and Avallon with $4.6 million for AI agents that help with insurance paperwork.

Maybe the most amazing news is that AI companies got 53% of all the money that people invest in startups in 2025. That's more than half! This tells us that investors think AI agents are going to change the way businesses work forever. The AI agent market is growing really fast — it's expected to grow from about $5 billion in 2024 to over $50 billion by 2030. That's an incredible amount of growth in just six years.
