Multi-agent Systems Weekly AI News

September 22 - September 30, 2025

This week brought exciting news about AI agents that can work together like teams. Companies are now using multi-agent systems where different AI helpers work on different tasks at the same time.

IntouchCX shared that by 2027, companies will spend over 20% of their AI money on these team-based AI systems. Instead of having one AI try to do everything, businesses are creating teams of specialized AI agents. One AI might look at sales numbers while another checks what customers are saying online.

Kroolo reported that the agentic AI market grew to $5.1 billion in 2024 and could reach $47 billion soon. These smart AI systems can think, plan, and act on their own without always asking humans what to do. They're being used for project management, customer service, and many other business tasks.

However, the World Economic Forum warned about security risks with AI agents. As more companies use AI agents, they create new ways for hackers to attack businesses. The number of non-human digital identities could reach 45 billion by the end of this year, but only 10% of companies have good plans to keep them secure.

Bain & Company explained that AI companies are now focusing on four levels of agentic AI development. Level 1 includes simple AI helpers, while Level 4 involves complex teams of AI agents working together. Most companies are currently working on Levels 2 and 3.

TCG Digital launched mcube™ 5.3, a new platform with advanced AI agent capabilities. This shows how companies are quickly moving from testing AI agents to actually using them in their daily work.
