Manufacturing Weekly AI News
December 22 - December 30, 2025This weekly update brings exciting news about artificial intelligence making manufacturing better across the world. The United States government announced a big $20 million investment to help American factories use AI more effectively. This money will help create two new centers that focus on making manufacturing smarter and keeping important systems safe from computer attacks. Along with this announcement, a company called MITRE will partner with the government to build AI tools that help factories work faster and make better products. The good news extends beyond just government help. The market for AI in manufacturing is growing very quickly—from about $8.57 billion in 2025 to an expected $230.95 billion by 2034. This huge growth shows that factories around the world are realizing how important AI has become. In addition, the government plans to spend up to $70 million more over five years to create an AI for Resilient Manufacturing Institute. This institute will bring together experts in AI, manufacturing, and supply chains to make factories stronger and more able to handle problems. Even smaller companies are joining this movement. A technology company in Ohio called Beavercreek is trying to raise $15 million to train workers in Dayton to use AI in manufacturing. These developments show that AI is not just a future idea anymore—it is becoming a real tool that factories are using right now to become better, faster, and smarter.
