Manufacturing Weekly AI News

March 31 - April 8, 2025

This week saw major advances in AI-driven manufacturing across the globe. In the U.S., the ARM Institute launched a project to build a national AI data repository to help factories train robots better. Meanwhile, Microsoft teamed up with Parsec in Germany to create TrakSYS IQ – a tool that lets workers chat with factory machines like asking questions to a friend.

Europe is building seven AI factories to boost its economy, showing how countries now treat AI labs as important as roads or electricity. Australia’s scientists are using AI to grow super-protein crops that need less water and land, helping fight food shortages.

Robots got smarter too – new “cobots” (friendly factory robots) can now safely work beside humans and learn new jobs quickly. Companies like Hyundai and Path Machining reported using AI cloud systems to design cars and machine parts faster than ever.
