Healthcare Weekly AI News

September 15 - September 23, 2025

This weekly update brings exciting news about AI agents changing healthcare around the world. These smart computer helpers are getting better at helping doctors and patients in many new ways.

Disease prediction agents made big news this week. Scientists created a new AI agent called Delphi-2M that can predict if someone will get sick with over 1,000 different diseases. This smart agent looks at a person's medical records and lifestyle to tell them their risk of getting cancer, heart disease, and other illnesses up to 20 years in the future. The agent was trained using health data from the United Kingdom and could help doctors catch diseases early.

ZTE Corporation from China showed off their healthcare AI agents at a big technology meeting. Their agents help doctors in big cities look at patient data from places that are 3,000 kilometers away. This means people in rural areas can get help from expert doctors without traveling far. ZTE also created AI agents that can spot cancer cells in minutes instead of taking two to three weeks like before.

The most exciting news was about drone delivery agents that can save lives. These flying robots work with 5G networks to deliver blood and medicine to hospitals super fast. One drone agent delivered life-saving plasma in just 10 minutes to help a mother and baby. The city now has ten drone routes making over 50 deliveries per day.

China also launched a huge AI health agent called XingShi that helps manage chronic diseases. This agent has over 50 million users and more than 200,000 doctors using it. It can understand speech, look at medical images, and help doctors take better care of patients with long-term health problems.

Many other companies launched new AI agent products this week, including agents that help with insurance paperwork, write medical notes, and even help choose the best embryos for fertility treatments.
