Education & Learning Weekly AI News

February 2 - February 10, 2026

Schools and universities are using smart computer helpers called AI agents to help students learn better. An AI agent is like a helpful robot that can do tasks on its own and learn from what happens. This week, three big announcements showed how schools are bringing these smart tools to students.

Indian River State College in Florida became the first open enrollment state college in the United States to use a complete AI system from a company called Superhuman. The college already used a writing tool called Grammarly, and now they are using something more powerful called Superhuman Go. This new system helps students write better, helps teachers grade faster, and helps the college do its paperwork more quickly.

Vanderbilt University in Tennessee created a new center called the Amplify Generative AI Innovation Center. More than 10,000 students and teachers already use their AI tools. The center helps students, teachers, and staff learn how to use AI safely and responsibly.

A new learning app called myAIcademy launched on Apple and Google phones this week. It teaches people about AI in a way that changes and updates itself as new AI tools come out. The app gives each person lessons that fit their job, whether they are a lawyer, teacher, or business owner.
