May 12 - May 20, 2025This week in education and learning, agentic AI is making big changes in schools and workplaces. Personalized learning tools are helping students learn faster by creating special plans for each person’s needs, like how to fix learning gaps quickly. In the United States, a big conference at Arizona State University (ASU) will teach leaders how AI can improve the student experience with smarter tutoring systems and new ideas.
Companies are also using AI to train workers better. A new report shows that AI study tools help people remember information longer and build skills like problem-solving. At a conference in San Diego, a company called Element451 showed how AI can make college services faster, like helping students get mental health support without long waits.
Teachers are getting help from AI, too. Over 75% of college professors in the U.S. plan to use AI to make flashcards, tests, and study guides, saving time so they can focus on teaching. Schools are also working to become AI literate, with experts urging educators to learn about these tools over the summer.
