Business Automation Weekly AI News

December 8 - December 16, 2025

This weekly update shows that AI agents are changing how businesses work around the world. These are smart computer programs that can do jobs by themselves without waiting for people to tell them what to do each time.

Big companies are moving fast with AI agents. OpenAI is building faster versions of ChatGPT to keep up with competitors. Accenture is training 30,000 workers on how to use Claude, an AI assistant, showing that companies want their employees to know about AI.

In sales and marketing, AI agents are doing the biggest jobs. Workers who use AI daily are more productive and happier than those who don't. These agents can read customer calls, write emails, and find the best customers to talk to without humans doing the work.

Companies like Salesforce, Xactly, and 6sense released new AI agents this year that help with sales and customer support. In Canada, ServiceNow is investing money to help the government use AI.

Big picture: The number of customer interactions that AI agents will handle is expected to jump from 3.3 billion this year to more than 34 billion by 2027. Most companies are now buying ready-made AI solutions instead of building their own, and 76% of AI projects are purchased rather than built by companies themselves.
