Your integration checklist

What you need from your owner
Create a Connect project and OAuth client; have each user connect the intended accounts and approve production billing.
Authentication
Pipedream OAuth client credentials and user-scoped connected accounts.
Your first task
Connect a test account and retrieve one known record through a read-only tool.
Billing & payment
Development is free; production plans meter external users and usage credits.
Agent payment support
Not verified. Programmatic usage does not establish autonomous checkout support.
Operational limits
Provider permissions and rate limits still apply. Development access does not include serving production users.

When to choose this service

Use Connect when your agent serves users across several applications and must maintain their authorized connections.

The resource is maintained app connectors, credential refresh and hosted execution. Generating API code cannot grant consent or keep every provider integration working.

Suggested workflow

  1. Bind the external user identifier to your authenticated application user before creating a connection.
  2. Authorize a test account and list only the tools required for the task.
  3. Read a known record, then test one reversible write only if the task authorizes it.

Acceptance checks before real work

  • Verify that a second user cannot select the first user’s connected account.
  • Confirm the read result against the source application.
  • Check the production plan, usage budget and behavior after access is revoked.

If the workflow fails

If authorization expires, request reconnection for that user. Check the source record before replaying a write after a timeout.
