TypeSafe AI · Hosted decision route
Jev
A decision service from TypeSafe, available through AI Gateway. Gateway announced it on September 16, while its catalog says September 15; neither confirms when the underlying model first launched. Comparable independent accuracy and confidence-score tests are still missing.
Announced 2026-09-16 · Provider documentation discovered 2026-10-04 · Checked 2026-10-11. The announcement and discovery dates do not establish ordinary API availability. Unverified prices remain unknown.
We still need comparable independent tests. You can compare the confirmed prices and limits below, but we cannot yet give this version an Agent Fit or Practical Value rating, or recommend a thinking setting. Try it on your own tasks before switching. Results for an older or differently configured version may not apply.
What you can use today
Token prices measure the small pieces of text the model reads or produces. Capacity, often called the context window, is the amount it can handle in a request. A dash means we could not confirm the price.
Exact AI Gateway route ID: typesafe-ai/jev. The exact evaluation contract accepts text state and typed Choice, Score and Boolean questions. It does not stream free-form output; no independent speed advantage or calibrated confidence is inferred. Test accuracy, speed and reliability on your own tasks.
Use typesafe-ai/jev through the TypeSafe evaluation endpoint, not as a free-form chat model. The contract has no free-form output-token maximum; catalog max_tokens=0 is not a zero-capacity limit.
Gateway declares 32,000 tokens for shared state plus the longest question, and 64,000 total request tokens. This is not a 64K single-state context. The maximum question count is unverified.
Output: Typed choices, rubric scores and Boolean probabilities. Compare decision models, limits and input costs ↗
AI Gateway quoted $0.042 per million input tokens and free answers when checked on October 4. Its model page rounds that price to $0.04; our calculator uses the exact $0.042 quote. Caching and other fees are not confirmed. Your bill can also depend on discounts for reused input, which provider handles the request, speed options, tools, retries and charged thinking tokens.

Test it before switching
Give each model the same examples, tools and definition of success. Record correct outcomes, response time, retries, token use and total cost. Even at the same price per token, a different version can cost more if it uses more tokens.
