Welcome everyone. Thanks for joining. I'm Alan Cowen, CEO of Hume, and I'm here to announce our new flagship model, EVI 2. EVI 2 is a multimodal AI model that you can speak to with your voice and that responds with voice. We're going to show you some demos, and afterward, EVI 2 will go live as an open beta for anyone to talk to and for developers to build into applications.

At Hume, our mission is to align AI with human well-being. An important component of that is being able to communicate with AI and provide feedback. The voice is the fastest and most efficient way that humans communicate. It has these rich multimodal signals that carry feedback, meaning information about your preferences and well-being. EVI 2 is trained to understand this feedback, the non-verbal signals in your voice. It also has subsec latency, a range of compelling voices and personalities that you can configure, and Cutting.

Cool at Hume we've pioneered the ability to develop synthetic personalities and voices. First I want to showcase Stella a British matriarch.

Wonder I'll let yall play with him later. But in addition to the four characters that we just showcased at launch time, we're going to have many more and with the ability to develop custom voices and personalities in the future. With that, I'm going to hand it back to Alan. 

What you've heard so far is the beta of ev2 small, which you can access today. We'll be working to continue to improve this model and announce our larger model in the coming weeks. If you're eager to play around with ev2, we just made it available for everyone to demo at hum.

EVI 2 has full feature parody with ev1 including external LM support tool use system prompting and much more. It's also a significant improvement from ev1 in many key areas. Beyond its naturalness, expressiveness, and personality, following EVI 2 is faster with latency reduced by two times to about 500 milliseconds on average. 

Ev2 is more customizable. Developers can craft their own synthetic voice by adjusting voice attributes like gender and pitch via our slider interface on our developer playground. These sliders are created through our novel approach to interpretability with speech language models. This enables creating diverse voices for any use case without voice cloning, which is very important for AI safety. E's entire personality is customizable through prompts even made conversation. 

We're excited to bring more customization options to our community soon. Finally, EVI 2 is cheaper.

Reducing reducing the price for EVI 2 by 30%. Decreasing the price from 10 cents per minute to 7 cents per minute including language modeling transcription and voice. Now we'll be sunsetting the ev1 API in a few months. But we're confident we'll have worked out the final kinks in EVI 2 and the transition will be seamless.
