In this short video I will show you how to hook up the cloud desktop to the gural server using the new model context protocol. The gental server is a um uh system for building agentic tools um which uh allow any AI agent to interact with um backend system Enterprise systems like uh for example if you want to schedule meeting in uh Google Calendar or maybe summarize some uh messages that are in the slack channel. 

The gento servers where you do that kind of work okay so let's get started now in this demo I'm going to um create a

Bridge to uh a MySQL instance containing um the number of members. So first thing we do is we we do need to pick an llm. This llm will be used to help us generate tools. Okay after we pick the LM now I'm going to pick uh the next data source the MySQL. We have a I have an existing connection already which I'll use. Okay now the bridge is already created and now we're ready to add new tools to it. 

Uh there are three ways to add tools. Uh first one one is uh picking a few from a catalog of built-in tools that we've already built out if.

Those tools work for you. That's all you need to do. The second way is um uh a more advanced way where you can submit a set of sample prompts. Uh to guro. Guro will analyze those prompts um and then generate the necessary tools uh to satisfy those prompts. Okay. 

And the third way is just manually creating you know uh defining and uh implementing the tool yourself. So for brevity, we're just going to use the um the built-in tools. There are two for MySQL and these are all we need to um to allow the agent to work with the MySQL database. Okay.

So all the bridge uh the gental part has been done already. Now it's time to set up the CLA side um. So the in order to get to connect clad with uh guro you have to edit the mCP config file. This is how you do it. It's says file here. 

Okay now there are no mCP servers uh configured right now. You uh to configure the guro one you go to the npm uh website and you look for Geno and this is the connector that we want. What we do here is we copy and we'll paste that in here um. So we there are three pieces of information that's needed the API.

Key the bridge uh ID and then a base URL. I'm using a local instance so let me just fill that in local host2. 

Uh to get the bridge ID you just have to go here here to get the bridge and grab the bridge ID which I'll do right here. Oops sorry bridge idop. 

And next thing to do is we need to generate an API key that can be done here going to create. I'll have one already um I'll just create a new one CLA uh desktop create it. 

This is the key that's generated we'll add it here and uh save the file. 

And uh let's see so now we just have to.

Close all these dialogs in here and uh look at the tools. All right um we need to restart CLA. So let me uh shut down Claud and then restart it again. 

And this time when it started up we'll see that there are two new tools that Claude now has available to it. And if we look at it uh these are exactly the same tools that uh we've published from our gural server. 

Okay so let's start using these tools. Let's see um who are the members in the members table in my SQL. Now the first uh thing it does is it wants to know what the schema of all.

The of that table is so I'm going to allow it to call that that tool to get the schema. Next, once it's got the schema, it's ready to execute a query. Okay, now it's going to grab a query. All right, so it's telling me there are 26 members in total and uh age range from 22 to 36. And there's these various groups in here. Okay, some are active and some are not active. 

Okay, um and let's just uh do one more prompt here. So um it I wanted to create a congratulatory message for all the members in the owl group and naming each member. Okay, so

Let's just see what it does with that one. It, uh, created a congratulatory message, uh, and it's naming all of them. And, uh, and it's doing a little bit more here as well. 

So that ends our demo. Um, now that I've shown you how to connect the Claud desktop to our guro server.
