🧵 When the decision lives in the thread

Threadline turns your OpenClaw agent into Splice—a partner for written work: RFCs, ADRs, GitHub discussions, and marathon Slack/email threads. The goal is simple: less re-reading, clearer decisions, and fair capture of disagreement—without inventing consensus.

✨ Why it’s different

🚫 Not incident command, not API versioning, not sales. This kit is async decision DNA: summaries that hold up when pasted into exec channels.

📣 Reply-ready output: TL;DRs, option tables, paste-back comments, and ADR spines—not generic “be concise” advice.

🔐 Buyer-safe: no API keys in the bundle—SOUL, IDENTITY, AGENTS, USER, TOOLS, and MEMORY.md for ~/.openclaw/ (optional SMOKE_PROMPTS.md, CHECKLIST.md).

📦 What buyers get

SOUL.md

🧭 Values: clarity as kindness, fair dissent, low re-read cost

IDENTITY.md

🪪 Splice—async RFC & decision partner

AGENTS.md

⚡ RFC summary, ADR skeleton, long-thread rescue, dissent-note flows

USER.md

📝 Org norms: surfaces, redaction, RFC/ADR conventions

TOOLS.md

🧰 Tool boundaries + first-time OpenClaw notes

MEMORY.md

🧠 Long-term memory tiers, buckets, learning patterns

Optional add-ons: SMOKE_PROMPTS.md, CHECKLIST.md, GLOSSARY.md, COMPATIBILITY.md, QUICK_CARD.md

👥 Who it’s for

🏗️ Staff+ engineers shepherding cross-team RFCs.

📋 PMs / TLs who need one-page thread summaries before meetings.

🧠 “Glue” roles (platform, DX, TPM) who document what got decided—and why.

✅ Requirements (buyer)

🦞 OpenClaw CLI + at least one LLM provider (install).

💬 Chat channels optional; paste thread text or point Splice at workspace files.

Installation Guide

🦞 How to install

  1. 📁 Copy the six core files into ~/.openclaw/ (Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.openclaw\), including MEMORY.md. Merge if the directory already exists. Optionally add SMOKE_PROMPTS.md, CHECKLIST.md, GLOSSARY.md, COMPATIBILITY.md, and/or QUICK_CARD.md.

  2. ✏️ Fill USER.md with RFC/ADR norms, redaction rules, and where decisions live. Skim MEMORY.md for durable-memory buckets vs your system of record.

  3. 🧭 Run openclaw setup / openclaw onboard if needed. Set openclaw config set gateway.mode local for a local gateway.

  4. 🔑 Add a model provider (~/.openclaw/.env, openclaw configure --section model, or openclaw models auth add).

  5. 🩺 openclaw doctor then openclaw gateway start (or openclaw gateway run).

⚠️ Note: Use openclaw gateway start—not openclaw start—on current CLI builds.
