A self-hosted team AI workspace with shared assistants, department access and multiple model-provider APIs.
CollabAI by SJ Innovation provides a shared chat and assistant interface that a team can host on its own server. Administrators organize departments, assign assistants, set access permissions and monitor usage. Users can reuse prompts, organize saved chats and work with supported file or image inputs. Custom API function calls extend configured assistants.
Deployment requires Node.js 20 or later, MongoDB and model-provider credentials. The application connects to OpenAI, Gemini and Claude APIs: hosting the interface yourself does not make those external models local. The MIT-licensed code is free to use, while server operation and provider charges remain your responsibility.
