Code as Policies lets a language model compose Python functions that call a robot’s existing perception and control tools. The research demonstrates tasks such as arranging objects, drawing shapes and moving between locations. Hierarchical code generation lets the model fill in helper functions as it works.
This is a research implementation for robotics developers. You must supply compatible perception and motion APIs, model access, example prompts and a suitable robot or simulator. Review generated code and validate movements before physical execution. The paper and demonstrations describe the original 2022 research, rather than a hosted robot-control subscription.
